Out-of-touch, brave-facing it, or both; the former rat-pack co-leader acknowledges three more months door knocking wouldn’t have made a difference, but falls short of recognizing NDP ascent stems from a Liberal disconnect with Quebec’s political landscape.
Of course ideally all Liberals would be under one tent. That is true of any tribe. Also ideal, however, is Chieftainship.
One could argue that historically there is no Party with greater rank-and-file solidarity than the NDP, but history also shows that no amount of NDP solidarity succeeded in placing a square peg in a round hole.
Need is no replacement, or excuse.
